Len Deacon is a dynamic and abundant systems thinking business man with years of hands-on experience which he now is using to empower people in business and life. Len, via LDA group, has developed a number of innovative solutions to meet companies strategic, operational and talent development needs.

In Len Deacon's past experience he has seen the Health Care Industry from every perspective. This experience has contributed to his dynamic wellness vision and his systemic approach to health care solutions that is currently transforming the concept of medical aid schemes for the 21st Century.

Len has made a significant contribution to the industry through his leadership of many industry forums and the delivery of his visionary papers at local and international conferences. Len Deacon entered the healthcare industry as Divisional Manager for the AMA in 1989. The company later became Southern Healthcare JV. Here his leadership spanned a wide range of scheme divisional needs culminating in his role as Group Fund Manager and Principal Officer for a number of Medical schemes including Anglo American.

In 1996 he moved to Sanlam in the Cape, one of South Africa’s financial services giants, as Senior Manager Sanlam Health and was later appointed Principal Officer and CEO of Topmed and Selfmed schemes. Len Deacon then became the Executive Strategic Partnerships and Marketing Manager for Bankmed where he introduced an impressive range of member and employer engagement, wellness and partnership innovations and contributed to the leadership, outstanding performance and strategic distinction of the scheme. Len was then for a short period the Principal officer of Topmed medical scheme.

Len Deacon is now CEO LDA Group of companies, an organisation that provides strategic services to the all sectors of the economy both in Africa and internationally since 2009.
