Jeremy obtained his B Comm (Management Accounting) and Hons B Comm (Financial Accounting) at the University of Stellenbosch in 2000 and 2001 respectively as well as his B.Compt (Hons) from the University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2004.

 

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009 and is registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Namibia.

He completed his training at Deloitte & Touché for three years and was an audit manager for a further 18 months. During this time, he was seconded to the Los Angeles and Toronto Deloitte offices for three months each, servicing major international clients.

He joined IJG Securities (Pty) Ltd (IJG) in September 2007 as financial manager and assisting with corporate finance transactions. He served on the Executive Committee of IJG where all financial related matters as well as operational matters including strategic decision were made. Jeremy also passed the stockbroker examination, as regulated by the Namibian Stock Exchange.

In November 2011, he commenced employment with VPB Namibia (Pty) Ltd, a private equity fund manager, as Senior Investment Associate. The main duties include identifying prospective private equity investment opportunities and screening of investment opportunities; appraisal and financial analysis of investment opportunities; making recommendations on appropriate structuring of investments, inclusive of company valuations; representation on investee’s Board of Directors and Sub Committee and portfolio management.
